There has been recent national news coverage referencing a concern for the data security of copiers/multifunctional devices with hard drive storage.
Applied Innovation takes this issue very seriously. We have several procedures with a variety of options for our clients’ print/scan systems. Our goal is to address your valid concerns.
Below is an outline of Applied Innovation’s procedures regarding Hard Disk Drive (HDD) data.
Replacement of a HDD as a Result of a Failure:
Applied Innovation will replace the HDD and relinquish the old HDD to a key contact at the client site. This service is included as part of your maintenance agreement with Applied Innovation. If you do not have a maintenance agreement with Applied Innovation, we can perform this service on a charge basis.
To maintain ongoing security to the system you currently own or use, an overwrite and/or data deletion security module can be added to your system for a fee.
Equipment Transfer of Ownership:
Applied Innovation can relinquish the HDD to a key contact at your site for the cost of the HDD and labor. Cost is dependent upon the model of copier.
