Last Friday USA Today published an article on copier and printer security. It is similar to the story that came out a about latent images on the hard drive of the device (MFP’s, printers) after the device is returned. The basic idea of the story is that users are not protecting the devices in the office with a password. The result is that someone can get on your network and get the information off of the hard drive. Are your devices protected? Have you encrypted the hard drive? This will likely affect how devices are managed in the future.
