Professional Services Engineer

Applied Innovation is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to join our Managed Network Service team at our South Bend location.  The primary focus of this position will be to provide excellent customer service for our Applied Innovation clients.  This will be achieved through the following:

• Building Workstations and Servers for clients prior to delivery
• Configuring hardware based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Installing and supporting network systems, including workstations, servers, and infrastructure devices at client sites.
• Following predefined scopes of work and processes and writing and developing new ones.
• Using troubleshooting techniques to solve problems.
• Researching and implementing solutions.
• Communicating in an upbeat, positive, and professional manner.
• Following up on all tasks to ensure full completion.
• Keeping up-to-date on new software and hardware.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as project demands may require evening and weekend work.
• Using effective time management skills to manage calendars and schedules.

Skills: This position will be responsible for having an intermediate knowledge of, and ability to troubleshoot, the following:

• Current workstation operating systems for PC and Mac platforms (i.e., Windows, Mac OS, Linux)
• Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Active Directory administration
• On-prem Exchange
• Device management tools
• Anti-virus tools
• DNS and DHCP
• Wired and wireless network connectivity
• Server administration
• Network storage devices
• Phones
• Mobile devices

Requirements Include:

• One of the following industry certifications is a positive:

• A+ Certification
  • NET+ Certification
  • Any MS365 Certification
  • Other IT related certification
